Garden Catering Celebrates 20 "Special" Years

  • January 31, 2012

Garden Catering Old Greenwich celebrates two decades of family run business
with a “Special” celebration

OLD GREENWICH, Conn., Jan 30th, 2012- It
has been 20 years since Frank Carpenteri Sr. re-opened the doors of Garden Catering Old Greenwich. Since then, he has added two children and multiple locations to the growing franchise, but the original location on Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich has remained fond in the hearts of its regulars. Throughout the month of February, Carpenteri and his family will be celebrating twenty
years of business by hosting a fundraiser, offering “20 year old” prices on certain items and giving out free tee shirts.

Starting Feb. 6th and running until Feb. 26th, each week of the month will have a different theme.
Themes include a week-long fundraising campaign benefiting the Junior United Way of Greenwich and menu prices featured from 20 years ago. The throwback
pricing includes Garden Catering’s famous “Special”, which typically sells for $7 but will be $5 for the week starting Feb. 13th. Garden Catering will also host a “Free Tee Shirt Day” on Feb. 22nd, where every Special sold will come with a free Garden Catering tee shirt.

Carpenteri Sr. is appreciative of all the support
he’s received from the Old Greenwich community over the years. "Our customers have been extremely loyal to us for the last 20 years, and have been the driving force behind our growth as a company. Being able to say “thank you”
means a lot to me and my staff.” Regarding the fundraising campaign, Carpenteri adds, “We’ve always had a commitment to give back, especially to those
organizations that strive to better the youth in our community, and we wanted to incorporate that into our 20 year anniversary. The Junior United Way makes
perfect sense because we’ve worked with them in the past and their campaign's benefit our younger customers directly every day".

Garden Catering, located on 185 ½ Sound Beach
Ave., is owned by Frank Carpenteri Sr., and managed by Mike Paoletta, Frank Carpenteri Jr., and Tina Carpenteri. Re-opened in 1991 by Frank Carpenteri Sr.,
Garden Catering has locations in Connecticut and in New York. The Old Greenwich location store is the home of the original Garden Catering, opened in the late
seventies by Lou Iandoli.

celebration can be found on their facebook page, or by calling Frank Carpenteri Jr. at (203) 698-2900.

Congratulations on 20 years! I can remember as a child always walking by your first shop with customers bustling in and out as my father and I walked into the thrift shop next door. We ate all of our meals at home. My mother was a very good cook. And I always wanted to try your place. Well, I was at a house party in Glenville this summer and i finally got to taste your food. I know how you stayed in business that long. The food was all so amazing and that fried zucchini was over the top and fabulous. I could eat it every day! Here's to the next twenty. Again, congratulations.
