One in four Connecticut, high school students reports having been bullied or harassed on school property in 2010, according to research. Incidents and news reports of late show that bullying in America is still seriously out of hand.

That's why Harmony by Karate Program at Reebok Sports Club/NY and its creator, the renowned, Sensei John Mirrione, are bringing the top-ranked  Program's national Stop Bullying Campaign (www.harmonybykarate.com/antibully.htm) to Greenwich, Connecticut's Boys & Girls Club (http://bgcg.org/), where Harmony by Karate will hold its Campaign's next, "inner  strength, meditation and philosophy" youth assembly, this Thursday afternoon, January 5, 2012, 4:30 PM.  Sensei John will share with over 100 of the Club's youngsters that at eight years old he was hurt badly by a bully, but his newly created Campaign will motivate Americans to take control of this crisis.

In addition, the Stop Bullying Campaign's two Public-Service-Announcement (PSA) videos, filmed in the New York City area and respectively entitled PUNCH and EVOLVE (http://gusbernal.com/Stop_Bulling/Anti_Bullying.html) will be premiered locally during this event.  These PSA videos are being submitted to local and national television, Web and other media outlets for broadcast throughout the United States.  The spots have aired in Portsmouth, Virginia, and Chicago, Illinois, and in late-fall 2011 began airing in Trenton, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and New York, New York.

The nationwide, Stop Bullying Campaign, endorsed by WABC-TV in New York City, was launched Dec. 15, 2010, at Chicago's Nettelhorst Elementary School. Nettelhorst has since adopted the Campaign book PHILOSOPHY OF THE WEEK (www.harmonybykarate.com/order.html) into its curriculum. And the campaign's visit was front-page news on the Washington, DC, Public School Board's Website as well as prominently featured in Oprah Radio, CBS-, NBC-, FOX- and ABC-TV and also AOL news coverage. The "Stop Bullying" message has in addition been heard at assemblies in Los Angeles, San Diego, Philadelphia, Myrtle Beach, Virginia Beach, Mount Holly (NJ) and New Haven.
