Police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray would not release further details. "It's an open investigation, I'm not releasing anything further," Gray said. Gray would not comment on how investigators were tipped off to the pornography possession apparently around May 30, the date of the original incident, according to a copy of the police report released Monday by Gray.

Gray also would not comment on whether police are investigating if any of the children depicted in the images were local residents.

Goodman was charged with second-degree illegal possession of child pornography, which means he's accused of having less than 50 images in his possession, according to Gray.

Goodman was released after posting $50,000 bond and scheduled to appear Aug. 3 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
