Greenwich's Green Demolitions Partners with Eva's Village

Green Demolitions started in 2001 when Greenwich couple Steve and Lisa Feldman witnessed a mansion demolition in which perfectly good appliances and cabinetry was removed to be discarded.

Eva’s Village, a New Jersey organization with a mission to “feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, treat the addicted and provide free medical and dental care to the poor,” is reportedly partnering with Green Demolitions and Renovation Angel of , a donations program which , cabinets and other luxury items to help raise money for programs supporting the disadvantaged.

As per a press release, Green Demolitions, with an office at 15 East Putnam Avenue, started in 2001 when Greenwich couple Steve and Lisa Feldman witnessed a mansion demolition in which perfectly good appliances and cabinetry was removed to be discarded. They decided to launch a business that sells refurbished kitchen appliances, cabinets, counters and bathroom fixtures to support various charities. Since 2005, Green Demolitions has been run by Recovery Unlimited, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

In the past seven years, the non-profit has recycled over 2,000 kitchens, received thousands of donations, and created 40 jobs. To date the organization has raised more than $1.7 million to support a series of addiction recovery outreach programs, the release states. Green Demolition currently has showrooms in Norwalk and West Fairfield NJ.

Green Demolitions recently launched Renovation Angel which allows donors to select which charity their donation supports.

Donors can write-off their donations for tax savings, plus Green Demolitions offers free pick up and no disposal fees.
