Town Man Charged in Raiding Trust

Greenwich PD: 'Tens of thousands of dollars' taken.

A Greenwich man has been arrested on charges he raided a family trust fund of "tens of thousands of dollars," according to Greenwich Police.

Robert Keller Citron, 47, of 24 Hollow Wood Ln., Greenwich, was arrested by investigators who obtained an arrest warrant charging him with first-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny. "He misappropriated funds that were in a family trust for his own personal use," said police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray.

Gray said the suspected misappropriations involved the writing of checks that occurred "over several years ... at least three years." He could not provide a total amount of money believed to have been taken. Police began investigating in late January after a family member for whom the trust was written discovered money was apparently missing, Gray said.
