Trio Face Prescription Forgery Charges

Two men, one woman were arrested following incident at Walgreens in Riverside.

 

A trio—a woman and two men—were arrested on charges they tried to pass forged prescriptions at the Walgreens in Riverside.

The incident was reported about 7:15 p.m. April 12. Greenwich Police officers arriving at the pharmacy at 1333 E. Putnam Ave., found the female suspect talking to her male accomplices who were inside a car outside the drugstore. She fled the scene and was arrested a short time later at an unidentified eatery, according to a police report.

Police identified the suspects as:

  • Tameika T. James, 22, 1927 Barnes Ave., Bronx, NY, who was charged with second-degree forgery, interfering with an officer, conspiracy to obtain a controlled substance by forgery and criminal attempt to obtain a controlled substance by forgery. She was held in lieu of $5,000 bond. 
  • Jeffrey Pierre, 32, of 3922 Monticello Ave., Bronx, NY, who was charged with interfering with an officer, conspiracy to obtain a controlled substance by forgery and criminal attempt to obtain a controlled substance by forgery. He was released after posting a $7,500 bond.
  • Carleton Samuels, 23, of 630 S. 6th Ave., Mount Vernon, NY, who was charged with conspiracy to obtain a controlled substance by forgery and criminal attempt to obtain a controlled substance by forgery. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.

All three were scheduled to apper April 19 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
