The first semester for Greenwich High School students is almost done and teachers are really trying to squeeze in every last bit of their lessons before the start of vacation and midterm reviews. Along with the extra homework assigned, juniors and seniors are put under even more pressure! Since upperclassmen take more semester classes, they only have one more chance to boost their grade before the marking period ends and many of the Greenwich High School students are also worrying about college.
When I come home I'm not motivated to do my work because I'm so stressed out and exhausted! However, I've found a healthy way to relieve my anxiety and to keep my focus on school.
Every Thursday after school I get the majority of my homework done before 5 p.m. so I can go to Zumba at Sportsplex. It's an amazing way to stay healthy, relieve stress, and have fun. For an hour I forget my worries and dance and work out while having a great time! It has really helped me to improve my grades because I'm not freaking out about due dates or 100 math problems when I get home because I'm calm, awake, and ready to start my homework and studying.
I strongly recommend that if anyone needs a break from the pressures of school that they try Zumba to get rid of the anxiety.
