Fundraising through Art

I have some very exciting news! I have recently been commissioned to paint a large mural for a Greenwich animal hospital. I am looking to turn this into a fundraising opportunity. I need fun pictures of dogs and cats playing to use as references for the painting which will be a scene of mostly dogs playing at the park. I'm asking for a $5 donation to enter your pet's photo into the contest.  Winning pets will be painted as part of the mural, and winners will receive a close up 8- x 10-inch print of their pet.

As I've been working on sketches for the project, I've come to realize that people may enjoy some cute sketches of their pets, so I'm offering a 7"x10" charcoal drawing of your pet for $15. My painted portraits are still available for $150, but if you mention this offer, I'll donate $50 of each painting to this fundraiser.

All funds raised will go to a local animal rescue group of my choosing or to a specific dog or cat who has been highly abused and neglected and in need of much veterinary care. I do have a particular animal in mind, but can't share details just yet. As soon as I know exactly where the funds are going, I'll provide an update.

What a GREAT offer -- and adorable sketches! I'd love one of Ms. Diezel Dee :)

All funds will go to Sugar's chip-in. She is in joint rescue through Bully Breed Rescue and Animal Nation. She was found tied outside of an animal hospital in New Haven with ruptured mammary glands.

People's potential for cruelty toward dogs especially saddens me. Poor "Sugar." Fingers crossed for her recovery.
