Margaret, Dorothy Hamill Rink is indeed in a residential neighborhood, it is a local single ice…Read More rink, what is being proposed on King St is a 4 rink facility. I would encourage you to come on up to King St, any day and witness the amount of traffic that flows up and down King St. I have lived in the area for 33+ years, and it is incredible, how at certain times of the day, it takes nearly 4+ minutes before someone will be kind enough to stop and allow a car to enter King St from one of the side streets. Additionally, there is currently a condo complex being built along King St at Anderson Hill Road, the tree's were removed just last week, so traffic will increase yet again. Reckson was required to build an alternate entrance and exit, IF they ever built a 4th office building there, they never created the alternate entrance and exit, and now instead of an office building, they are proposing a Mega Ice Rink. The King St neighbors say NO!!! Lets hope our voices are heard!!!

Dorothy Hammill rink is in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Greenwich. The King Street…Read More location is very close to exit off a parkway (not 95, but Merritt/Hutch). I don't think King Street is "jammed" as you say. I95 is jammed if you try to drive to Stamford to chelsea piers to use a regulation sized rink.
