Internationally acclaimed Greenwich restauranteur Jean-Louis Gerin has another feather in his toque. He's a 'Chopped' champion. The 52-year-old Gerin survived the rapid fire three-part show which pits the country's top chefs in a race against the clock and themselves to use a basket of mystery ingredients to create a three-course meal. At the end of each round, one chef is eliminated—or in the show's parlance—"chopped" from the competition that is judged by bold-faced names in the culinary world. Gerin has operated the venerable French bistro Jean-Louis on Lewis Street in downtown Greenwich for 25 years. Gerin said his wife Linda "runs the front of the house. I run the back of the house."
