Choral Society Auditions, SAT Registration, School Facility Utilization and Race Balance Public Forum

Got a teenager? Can you Sing? Interested in School Facilities utilization and race imbalance issues? Here's what's happening in Greenwich on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, 2013.

  • That National Weather Service predicts some funky weather for Greenwich: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 80°. West wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Greenwich Public Schools Facility Utilization & Racial Balance Public Forum, 7:00pm at Hamilton Avenue School. The forum will be conducted In Spanish with English Translation.
  • SAT Registration Deadline: Just 3 days left until the Fri., Sept 6th, 2013, deadline to register for the October 5, 2013 SAT or Subject Tests; also, Late Registration Deadline for September 21, 2013 ACT Test.

  • The drop-in computer lab at Greenwich Library is cancelled for Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013.
  • Greenwich Choral Society Auditions, Tuesday, Sept. 3rd at 6:00pm and Saturday, September 7th, 10:00am (or by appointment, as needed). For more information or to schedule an appointment, call Bill Fulton (203) 322-2990. 

    Auditions with our Music Director are required. The ten-minute process is simple and enjoyable. You will be asked about your experience and then you will perform some vocal exercises to test tonal quality and pitch and sight read some musical phrases. As the area's premiere choral group, Greenwich Choral Society is always seeking new choristers for all voice parts. GCS typically exceeds 120 singers.
