Look like Mother Nature is dishing out another gorgeously sunny end of summer type day, according to the National Weather Service.

  • Today: Sunny, with a high near 75. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph.
  • Tonight: Clear, with a low around 53. Light southwest wind.
Low tide will be at 5:41 a.m. and 6:09 p.m. with the high tide at 11:41 a.m. Sunrise is 6:36 a.m. and sunset is at 6:56 p.m.

Culture Shock ... in 1913—that's the topic of an illustrated lecture to be given by WNYC's Sara Fishko at the annual meeting of the Greenwich Historical Society Thursday evening. The event begins at 6 p.m. at the Indian Harbor Yacht Club

Up for a sunset cruise? Val's Putnam Wines and Liquors is hosting a Thursday evening sail out of Greenwich Harbor aboard the vessel Prudence that's docked at the Delamar hotel. Sail time is 6:30 p.m.

"Want to close out summer with a splash? Amphibious boat rides, meet & greets with Deadliest Catch captain Johnathan Hillstrand, paddlesports and interactive on-water activities are among the many unique attractions cruising into the 2013 Progressive Insurance Norwalk Boat Show. A favorite among boating and outdoor enthusiasts, the four-day event opens today/Thursday and will offer an array of events and experiences for visitors of all ages.
