Rain, Bilingual Storytime, Preparing for High Holy Days

Good morning Greenwich!

What you probably want to know NOW are the winning Powerball lottery numbers drawn late Wednesday for the more than $425 million jackpot. The numbers were 5, 25, 30, 58 and 59 with a Powerball of 32. (if you won, we'd love to hear from you...but would probably understand if you want to keep the news a secret. ... Just sayin')

Be sure to grab an umbrella on your way out the door this morning. Here's the National Weather Service forecast:

  • Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 9 a.m., then scattered showers and thunderstorms after 9 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. South wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Thursday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
If you're heading out on the water or to the beach, despite the weather—high tide will be at 1:08 p.m. with low tides at 6:29 a.m. and 6:42 p.m. Sunrise: 5:55 a.m. Sunset: 8:02 p.m.
