Being a girl whose parents moved us in the middle of my high school year and I ate lunch in the bathroom must be the reason high school movies about kids that don't fit in makes me sad! That or it's just the thought of being back in high school and I'm breaking out in a cold sweat!
This is a movie about Charlie, played brilliantly by Logan Lerman who just can't seem to find his place. Things from his past keep him from finding his circle of friends and dreading every day he has to be in school. The "mean kids" don't make his days any better. He comes across a group of Seniors who take him under their wing. Emma Watson ("Harry Potter") plays Sam and soon Charlie can think of nothing else! Ezra Miller is Sam's sidekick and has his own problems and the 3 become inseparable! A serious movie about surviving high school, families, friends and the things in our past that create our future!
Great music and few laughs but a movie that can be saved for a Saturday night on the sofa!
