Award-Winning Landscape Firm Celebrates 25th Anniversary Milestone

Wilton, CT - Hoffman Landscapes, Inc., high-end, award-winning Wilton, CT-based landscape firm, marks a significant achievement within their industry with the celebration of their 25th year anniversary this year.

“I am really proud of reaching this milestone,” says president Michael O. Hoffman, who founded the company in 1987 and has seen steady growth ever since.  “People see our fleet of 60 trucks everywhere now because years ago we set out to develop a new kind of landscaping company, based on the highest level of professionalism in our field.”

Today the firm serves Fairfield, Litchfield and Westchester counties from three CT locations in Wilton, Greenwich and Washington.  Their 100+ employees include a national award-winning landscape architect department, specialists in heavy excavation, talented stones masons as well as the largest property maintenance work force in the three-county region.

Three decades ago Mike recognized that the region’s residential property base was changing. Newer high quality homes and ever-improving demographics meant that better quality landscaping, along with design/build services, were in demand.  What has set Hoffman Landscapes apart and contributed to their success is their answer to that demand; an effective, synergistic combination of property maintenance and design/build.

Hoffman management has developed a strategy and organizational structure that encourages departments to look for additional ways to serve customers’ needs.  Design/build project clients are introduced to the maintenance department for follow-up work.  Every outdoor service is offered from traditional mowing and pruning to more specialized jobs like green and golf tee maintenance, fencing/automated gate repair, irrigation systems, swimming pool maintenance, plant care, and even outdoor party preparation services. Conversely, all maintenance clients receive regular updates on Hoffman design/build projects.  This often generates customer requests for new outdoor enhancements to their properties, including updating walkways, driveways, patios, perennial gardens, pools, spas and much more.  Hoffman managers and supervisors, plus a wide range of employees, often hold more than one degree or special certifications in turf care, horticulture care, landscape design, pest control, irrigation, arbor care, and even snow removal.

““Because we’ve been doing it for so long, we’ve become known for highly detailed and well-coordinated landscape appointments, such as outdoor rooms, custom pools and patios, or various outdoor areas that family and friends can enjoy,” says Mike whose roster today includes some of the most elaborate projects at the region’s most notable estates.

Hoffman Landscapes has been recognized many times over for their outstanding landscape design and maintenance. In 2011 they were honored with 2 awards from the Professional Landcare Network’s (PLANET) 42nd Annual Environmental Improvement Awards Program. They won a Merit Award in two categories: Residential Design/Build for a Wilton residence and Residential Landscape Management for a Westport property.  This added a ninth PLANET award to a roster that includes Grand Awards in 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2002, as well as a Merit Award in 2001.

As an active supporter of many local community projects and charities, Mike Hoffman was recently recognized by the Family Centers in Greenwich, CT as their 2011 Family Champion for his efforts as a fundraiser over the last 12 years. He is also a member of PLANET (the Professional Landcare Network), and currently serves on the Zoning Commission for the Town of Redding.

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
