’s math team made it to the New England Association of Math Leagues playoffs, and members Kevin Barnum, Brendan Bozorgmir, Willy Fein, Peter Gatto, Curren Iyer and Ashim Vaish represented the school at the meet. Teams qualified for the competition by their performance in their local leagues or in their state competitions.
The event, which took place in Canton, MA, included 45 other qualifying public and private schools. The competition is divided into small, medium and large schools divisions. Brunswick came in 3rd place in the small schools division. Rounds for the competition included number theory, algebra, geometry, exponents and logarithms, analytic geometry, trigonometry and complex numbers.

Brendan Bozorgmir was recognized with a special award for his achievement.
“Our boys really did a great job at the competition and achieved the best result ever for Brunswick’s math team,” said Michael Allwood, chairman of Brunswick School math department and coach of the team. “They've been working hard since our first local meet back in October, and this was a fantastic finish to the academic year.”
