Peter S. Carozza, Jr., President of the Uniformed
Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut, announced today his association’s endorsement of DANIEL DAUPLAISE. in the upcoming elections. In making the endorsement, President Carozza stated, “It is an honor to announce that following the recommendation of the Executive Board and the Political Action Committee, the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut heartily endorses DANIEL DAUPLAISE, for election this November. This action was taken after careful consideration of his stance on issues important to ProfessionalFire Fighters.”
"I am honored to receive the support of the UPFFA. On a daily basis, Connecticut's firefighters are putting the needs of others first and provide a great service to their communities. My campaign has placed an emphasis on public safety, and I hope to work in Hartford to advance the needs of our firefighters, while helping them in
their efforts to help others", said Daniel Dauplaise in accepting the UPFFA endorsement.
In commenting on the endorsement, Paul Rapanault, the Director of Legislative and Political Affairs for the UPFFA said, "Knowledgeable leaders in the field of Public Safety are necessary to find creative solutions which enable fire fighters to do their jobs effectively while keeping them safe. We believe Daniel Dauplaise has this experience and will bring fresh ideas to the table."
The Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut is the state association of the International Association of Fire Fighters, which represents 60 affiliated local unions in the state, comprising about 4,200 members.
