Greenwich Choral Society is Auditioning for New Members

Greenwich Choral Society is looking for tenors, basses, sopranos and altos to join the area’s premier Choral
Group. Anyone who enjoys singing and has been looking for an opportunity to join a friendly and musical group
is encouraged to try out.

The 2012-13 season marks GCS’s 88th year and is typical of the range and caliber of the music for which GCS is

known. Plans include the traditional favorite holiday concert series “Christmas Joy”, as well as works by Brahms
and Beethoven to be performed with the Stamford Symphony at the Palace Theatre, Stamford next year.

Auditions for all voice parts will be held at , 108 Sound Beach Avenue, Old
Greenwich, CT, on Tuesday, August 28, Tuesday, September 4, and Saturday, September 8, or by appointment if needed. Contact Bill Fulton to schedule a day and time (telephone: 203-322-2990, e-mail: cbful@snet.net).

Greenwich Choral Society unites singers of all ages, nationalities and many levels of experience and expertise.
The audition process is simple and enjoyable, including a brief discussion of previous singing experience,
followed by the performance of some vocal exercises to test tonal quality and pitch and sight reading some
musical phrases.

Regular rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, and every other Saturday, at First Congregational Church in
Old Greenwich. Conducted by Maestro Paul F. Mueller, Professor of Music at Hunter College, performances are
held in Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, and other community venues. GCS has also performed internationally in Great Britain, Italy, Prague, and Vienna.

For additional information regarding auditions, concerts, tickets or subscriptions visit the GCS website, or call
