Help is available for local families reacting to the Newtown, CT shooting.

Our thoughts and sympathy go out to the families who lost loved ones in the Newtown, CT shooting. At the Child Guidance Center (CGC), we understand this tragedy may cause anxiety and distress for children and families. Help is available by calling 2-1-1 to speak with a trained crisis therapist. Additionally, CGC’s emergency mobile crisis staff are accessible 24x7 for those families experiencing an extreme reaction or who have more serious concerns and would like a therapist to go mobile to a home or other community location.

A public Parent/Community Forum will be held on Monday, December 17th 5:30-6:30 at CGC, 196 Greyrock Place, Stamford. Dr. Deborah Matthews, CGC’s Director of Crisis Services, will provide information to help parents deal with their own anxiety and concerns as well as the reactions of their children to the tragic Newtown school shooting. Crisis therapists are available to answer individual questions. Call 203-324-6127 to RSVP. Municipal parking is available on Forest Street. www.childguidancect.org

Seems to me you are missing the most obvious which is shown in the photo used at the top ofRead More Greenwich Patch pages - Grass Island Marina/Park is directly across the waterway. You won't be able to see much of the stage front but you can certainly enjoy the tunes.
