Monroe has amazed me in their generosity this weekend of helping their neighbor recover from this horrific tragedy. We will welcome them at Chalk Hill with open arms.
I would like to provide the children with hand knit or crocheted green or green/white scarves to bring comfort and solidarity to them as they face the dark days ahead.
If you can knit or crochet or know anyone who can, please help by making a child sized scarf. I am just looking for child sized, green/white or green, any pattern.
I hope to collect 700 in a short time, so please help out if you can. The deadline for scarves is January 15th.
Scarves can be dropped off at a drop box at St Jude School, in their religious ed office or you can email me and deliver them to my house. I am looking to get other drop off places too.
Sandy Hook and Newtown need all the help they can receive; so let's give them a little comfort and know they are well loved by their neighbors.
