Tickets are still available for the Roaring '20s Gala for Greenwich Hospital to benefit the Emergency Department on Saturday, October 20.
This will be an festive and elegant evening with Greenwich Country Club transformed into a 1920s nightclub, complete with the sounds of the 1920s thanks to the Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra.
Guests will enjoy a delectable dinner, dancing and can bid on a wide assortment of auction items – from a stay at a private game reserve in South Africa, to a tour of the Capitol with Senator Richard Blumenthal, beautiful jewelry and hard to get sports experiences.
Most important, though, is all the proceeds go to the Emergency Department at Greenwich Hospital, which last year handled 43,000 visits from Fairfield and Westchester residents. 20 percent of those visits were from children.
TV journalist, Paula Zahn will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening and members of the Mitchell family, best known in our area for their stores, Richards in Greenwich and Mitchells in Westport, will be honored with the President's Award for their outstanding contribution to Greenwich Hospital.
