Join the Greenwich Alliance for Education in a Turkey Trot through Bruce Park!

The Greenwich Alliance for Education’s third annual Turkey Trot, will be run on Saturday, November 30 at 9:30AM.  The perfect post-Thanksgiving family activity, registrants will be able to choose from either a 5K race or a non-competitive 1 mile run/walk through scenic Bruce Park.  Both will begin and end at the Arch Street Teen Center at 100 Arch Street.  The 1 mile fun run/walk will start at 9:30AM and the 5K will start at 10:00AM.  All proceeds from the Turkey Trot will directly benefit the Greenwich Alliance for Education’s programs that aim to foster educational success for Greenwich Public School students.

Register online from the Greenwich Alliance’s website, www.greenwichalliance.org. Prior to race day, registration cost is $25 per adult and $10 per child age 14 and under.

Due to the fantastic response, ONLINE registration for the 5K will close Thursday, November 28 at 9pm. There will be no 5K WALK-INS ON RACE DAY.

The first 100 registrants receive a $5 gift card from Garden Catering. Race-day registration will take place inside the Arch Street Teen Center from 8-9AM. The cost race day will be $30 per adult and $15 per child 14 and under. T-shirts and goody bags with offers from local merchants will be given to runners who register by November 22nd and to all other registrants while supplies last.

Pre-registered runners can pick up bibs, T-shirts, and goody bags on Friday, November 29 at the Arch Street Teen Center from 2-5PM. The Arch Street Teen Center is located at 100 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT.

Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female 5K winners and the top three male and female finishers in 10 age categories, from 10-and-under to 70-plus.  All 16-and-under 1-mile finishers will receive medals. Refreshments will be provided by PepsiCo and the Upper Crust Bagel Company.  Computerized timing for the 5K will be provided by Lightfoot Running Club.
