Fairfield County Personal Medicine offers personalized care, or concierge medical practice. This allows its physicians to care for their patients in a more comprehensive and collaborative manner, with quality time to focus proactively on overall prevention and wellness. Patients in these practices are happier with their care and services, and data has shown they have better health outcomes.  Fairfield County Personal Medicine is a member of Stamford Health Integrated Practices (SHIP) which is an integrated physician network that delivers healthcare to the lower Fairfield County community. SHIP was founded to align physician practices with Stamford Hospital in an evolving healthcare landscape. SHIP integrates local physicians with Stamford Hospital to form a long-term sustainable network.

“When given the opportunity to become a part of Fairfield County Personal Medicine, it just felt right,” said Herbert. “This is a practice that is dedicated to providing not only outstanding patient care but also an enhanced patient experience. I believe the ability to participate in a medical practice that is truly patient-focused will be beneficial for my patients and for me as well.”

In a personalized care practice, physicians have a smaller patient panel, allowing them to offer longer on-time appointments that are available the same day or next day of a patient call. Patients are given their physician’s cell phone number and are able to contact them personally for any medical emergency, day or night. In addition to caring for patients when they are ill, the physician has more time to focus on proactive wellness to keep patients as healthy as possible.

All three board-certified physicians are affiliated with Stamford Hospital, giving their patients easy access to top-quality specialty physicians and hospital services when necessary. “My patients’ receiving the highest standard of care is of the utmost importance to me,” noted Herbert. “On the rare occasion that I may be unavailable to a patient, I feel confident knowing they are in the hands of my respected colleagues.”

Dr. Herbert is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has been practicing in the Stamford area since 1999. Dr. Herbert is Chairman-Elect of the Medical Staff of Stamford Hospital and previously served as Chairman of the Credentials Committee. He has been frequently and most recently recognized in the 2014 edition of "Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area" by Castle Connolly.

Dr. Herbert’s new location is Fairfield County Personal  Medicine, 5 High Ridge Park, Suite 103, Stamford.  For more information, please call (203) 276-4870 or visit www.joshherbertmd.com.
