The YMCA of Greenwich’s Marlins swim team hosted their first Qualifying Swim Meet of the season last weekend with   a variety of teams in attendance including the YWCA Dolphins, New Canaan YMCA Camains and Weston Swimming.  The 3 day event included almost 500 swimmers, including over 100 from the home-team.

The coaches were proud of their athletes from the youngest and newest up to the veterans.  Coach Kevin Stone said, “This was a very impressive weekend.  It was great to see this group get up on the blocks and race.  We have a lot of work to do, but I’m excited for what’s ahead of us.”

The Greenwich YMCA Marlins were well prepared for this early season meet.  Sophia Moore (11), Ailee Mendoza (14), Oscar Ike (16), Eisuke Takahashi (10) and Alex Ye (10) all broke Individual Team Records!
