United Way Community Answers Merger

The United Way and Community Answers have merged! The non-profit Community Answers began as a United Way-Junior League of Greenwich collaboration. With funding from those organizations, Community Answers opened in 1969 at Greenwich Library where volunteers have since then provided assistance with all manner of local information and referral services by phone and in person, and in recent years via its website, redesigned and expanded last year with the assistance of a United Way grant.  Both organizations emphasize that this teaming up is logical from every perspective. It will strengthen both in fulfilling their missions as key local information providers. United Way's Needs Assessments repeatedly identify the need for improved communication about Greenwich programs and services and knowing first hand what issues matter most to Greenwich residents will enhance the United Way's ability to document local needs and develop effective solutions for the whole community.
