A Welcome Fit For A Prince in Greenwich

Local businesswomen Veronique Lee and Liz Logie weren't among the lucky 400 invitees to Wednesday's benefit polo match with Prince Harry at the Greenwich Polo Club.

But you certainly wouldn't have known that at their Greenwich Avenue shop Atelier 360. The Union Jack adorned the display windows, there was an audio British invasion featuring The Beatles and a table laden with British fare--tea, cucumber sandwiches and a large icy decanter filled with Pimm's Cup.

Visitors enjoyed the refreshments as they browsed the unique British designer clothes and accessories including Elvis and Kresse leather goods made from repurposed London Fire Brigade hose, snazzy print men's bathing trunks made from recycled plastic water bottles and Soul dresses featuring large floral prints that are popular across The Pond.

Lee and Logie were hopeful for a royal drive-by and drop in on Greenwich Avenue but conceded the prince's schedule probably precluded it. Nonetheless, they and the customers of the shop that opened at 113 Greenwich Ave. six months ago enjoyed the English high tea that was indeed fit for a prince.
