Adopt-A-Dog’s popular Puttin’ On The Dog Festival is scheduled for Sunday, September 22nd in Greenwich and volunteers are needed.
Some 150 volunteers are essential to running the 26th annual festival and interested individuals are required to register online at www.adoptadog.org, in order to be given an assignment.
Puttin’ On The Dog attracts some 7,000 people and their dogs who enjoy the day’s many activities which are scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at Greenwich’s Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.
The Puttin’ On The Dog Festival is Adopt-A-Dog’s primary resource to generate the critical dollars necessary to operate their caring sanctuary in Armonk, New York. The charity’s mission is to provide dogs with a safe, healthy and quality environment while they await adoption. Adopt-A-Dog is an established non-profit rescue/adoption organization founded in 1981.
Festival volunteers are encouraged to register online (www.adoptadog.org) no later than September 13th. Unfortunately, no “walk-in” volunteers can be accepted on the day of the event, and their four-legged companions only can attend with another family member to
watch their owners perform their duties. For details about a commitment to help, interested pet lovers also may contact volunteer coordinator Kerrin Coyle at email@example.com call
The day’s activities include performances by popular local bands, fun dog competition categories, demonstrations, children’s events, shopping and information booths, a silent auction, displays and food booths.
