Back by Popular Demand! Junior Detective Day: Science, History and Fun!

Cos Cob, CT, February 21, 2011–A valuable letter from the Everyday Heroes exhibition at the Greenwich Historical Society has been stolen and replaced by a forgery. As a Junior Detective, you can help find it! In this fun, family-oriented program, kids will visit the Everyday Heroes exhibition, the “scene of the crime,” and then employ techniques used by real police to solve the mystery. They’ll learn to take fingerprints, try their hands at chromatography and test the chemical characteristics of different compounds in pursuit of the culprit. They’ll also learn how to make paper look old and to write with invisible ink. Sign up early. The last event was a sell-out.

Sunday, March 11, 2012.

Reservations strongly suggested. Drop in any time between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.

$10 for members; $15 for nonmembers
