Just like a fever when you have a case of the flu, the thermometer hit 101 degrees Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service has a heat advisory in effect until 8 p.m. Friday and an air quality alert until 11 p.m.. Saturday when showers and thunderstorms are expected to finally break this heat wave.
