Make Sure You Get a Flu Shot Thursday in Greenwich

Greenwich officials will host their final flu vaccination clinic for the final time this season Thursday at Greenwich Town Hall.

The clinic will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 101 Field Point Road, third floor, and will serve residents 9 years old and up.

Flu season has reportedly seen low activity across the U.S., and officials said Connecticut activity in particular has been minimal, but warned that could change heading into the colder winter months.

"This situation will change as we move forward into the holiday season and the New Year," said Caroline Calderone Baisley, Greenwich Director of Health. "It is difficult to predict when the flu will circulate in the community so now is the time to consider getting immunized against flu viruses."

Flu vaccines will be available for $35 and pneumonia vaccines will cost $50. Traditional Medicare Part B/Medicare Advantage ID Cards will be accepted, though officials noted Medicare Advantage Plans do not cover Pneumonia Immunizations at public clinics.
