Show Your Red, White & Blue — French Style for Bastille Day in Greenwich

Bastille Day Greenwich Style!

As they do every year, Alliance Francaise will be celebrating Bastille Day on Monday, July 14, starting with the raising of the French flag in front of the Greenwich Town Hall.

GreenwichFirst Selectman Peter Tesei will join the Alliance in a flag-raising ceremony at 8 a.m. Yann Yochum, representing the Consul général de France à New York, is scheduled to attend. This year’s ceremony will be held in honor of William M. Frick, a World War II veteran who received the Légion d’honneur at the 2008 Bastille Day celebration, and recently passed away.

The ceremony will be followed by a complementary breakfast at Versailles of croissants, pains au chocolat and other traditional viennoiseries, as well as coffee, tea and juices.
