The Greenwich Alps?

Just where does all the snow Greenwich DPW crews are removing from clogged streets go?

Greenwich Department of Public Works crews continue snow removal efforts throughout town.

Armed with bucket loaders, Bobcat machines and a truck equipped with gigantic front-end augurs creating a four-wheeled snowblower, workers have been removing the frozen mounds of snow that have narrowed roadways that have drivers threading the needle while trying to avoid potholes.

And where does that snow go? The DPW dump trucks head to Holly Hill Transfer Station and Grass Island where mountains of snow have been created.
