More than a dozen customers of Aquarion Water Company in Cos Cob were without water service on Friday starting around 1:30 p.m., due to a water main break on Valley Road near Cat Rock Road.
Crews on the scene informed at around 2 p.m. that the repairs would probably take four to five hours to complete, meaning water service probably wouldn't be restored until around 6 p.m.

Crews with curb keys were seen shutting down the eight inch water main at junctures near Mianus View Terrace and Palmer Hill Road.
Workers on the scene — who were waiting for police to arrive to direct traffic — said the minor break on the east side of the roadway was more than likely due to frost, however they said they wouldn't know for sure until they excavated.
