CELEBRATE THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON WITH GRACE CHANG

Based on her many years of professional experience as an international Chinese ringmaster, Grace Chang will showcase magical illusions, puppetry, dance and acrobatics at the Greenwich Library.

Grace will be celebrating the year of the dragon with Jin Jin, the star of her “Jin Jin the Dragon” book series.

With live performances featuring Jin Jin, Grace brings Chinese culture and her themes of unity and tolerance to younger audiences across the country.

Grace Chang was born in Beijing, China, into a family of famous entertainers. As a little girl she often sat with her father while he wrote, and she dreamed of becoming a writer herself one day. When she wasn’t dreaming, she learned magic tricks from her grandfather in the courtyards of the Forbidden City. Some years later, Grace was selected for the job of star illusionist and ringmaster in an internationally acclaimed Chinese circus. She has appeared on stage and screen in both China and the United States, including the film, The Joy Luck Club. Grace also has spent many years helping families to adopt babies from China. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and son.
