World Wide Photo Walk Comes to Greenwich

On October 13, photographer's world-wide will join Scott Kelby's Fifth Annual Worldwide Photo Walk -- the world's largest global social photography event in the history of photography.

Greenwich (Tod’s) Point will be the site of this year’s local Photo Walk.  Greenwich photographer/organizer Lawrence Sterne will lead the walk and has arranged park access for all participants.  The Photo Walk is free and open to anyone who owns a camera – even disposable cameras – but attendance is limited.  For more information and to sign up for the Greenwich Photo Walk visit http://tinyurl.com/greenwich2012.

Greenwich Point, a 147 acre peninsula into Long Island Sound, is one of he most beautiful parks in the world, with trails that lead along the water, through gentle hills and wild grasses.  Osprey and egrets are just examples of a variety of wildlife that coexists harmoniously with humans, who use the park for recreation like swimming, boating, fishing and more, or just to get away and relax.  A typical day will find artists capturing sights near and far, including New York’s skyline, visible on a clear day.  Participants will be able to upload and share their photos with prizes for the best local and national entries.
