Avenue Cafe which opened to much fanfare last November, reinventing the popular Katzenberg's Deli, is closed.
Signs in the storefront window at 342 Greenwich Ave. announce that EatItalian Style with chef Andrea Tiberi. Unfortunately, the website listed on the signs doesn't provide any information on what Greenwich diners can expect or when.
The closure of Avenue Cafe is the latest in a spate of restaurant closures in the 300 block of Greenwich Avenue. First it was Versailles on Easter Sunday, then My Favorite Place, and now Avenue Cafe.
