During the New Canaan Reataurant Week kickoff stroll titled “Taste of the Town” participants will donate an item to the New Canaan Food Pantry in exchange for an opportunity to win give-a-ways provided by sponsors including American Airlines. To become eligible a “stroll map” (optained in exchange for a Food Pantry donation) must be hole-punched at each of the twenty plus designated location and returned to Chamber Executive Director, Tucker Murphy by 9:00 pm on Thursday, August 25th.
Prizes include but are not limited to; two round trip business class tickets to Europe or South America courtesy of American Airlines, a 16 inch pearl necklace with a gold clasp (retail value $600) provided by L'Armoire, cashmere cable knit crew neck Ralph Lauren sweater, four Broadway tickets to Mary Poppins, $50.00 gift certificates to participating restaurants.
The New Canaan Food Pantry is in need of the following items; coffee (regular drip and regular instant, decaf instant), honey, stews, feminine hygiene products (tampons and sanitary napkins), laundry detergent, boxed cold cereal, canned poultry (chicken, turkey), instant drink mixes (iced tea, lemonade, etc), dried fruits (apricots, raisins, prunes, cranraisins).

Walter Stewarts Market will be accepting cash donations for the Food Pantry in $10, $20 and $30 amounts.
