Wednesday School at St. Paul begins after Labor Day
“Wednesday is the new Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church,” says Rev. John Perling, Pastor of the congregation. “We realized that there is a great need in our community for structured mentoring time with our youth, and Wednesday afternoon is a perfect time slot.”

The Christian Education Program at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Byram meets every Wednesday afternoon during the school year, starting at 2:30pm (children can arrive anytime after). The children gather in the Fellowship Hall for snack, a variety of service projects, drama, and music (i.e. childrens' chorus, orchestra, and band).
The one-room school house atmosphere allows everyone to learn at their own pace. Bibles Literacy during this year will include a survey of the life of Jesus Christ, the Acts of the Apostles, themes of their letters to Christians around various parts of the world, and life in the church today.

Parents come together with their children for a guided family devotion before supper from 5:30-6:00pm. The Devotion is based on highlights of our two year read through the Bible program.
A family-style supper is served at 6:00pm with healthy and varied menus. Having several families in which food allergies are concerns we inquire about any food concerns on our registration form so that we can be sensitive to every family.
The program has open enrollment for preschool through high school and children can be of any, or no, religious background. A free will donation is accepted.
