Need a Job? Greenwich Job Fair is April 29

The Greenwich Work Force Coalition, a partnership of local community agencies, will be sponsoring a Job Fair to be held at Greenwich Town Hall on Tuesday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Major employers with current job openings will be on premise to meet with job seekers.  Some of the employers attending include Double Tree by Hilton, King Street Rehab., Bimbo Bakeries, and Petco.

Those interested in attending are urged to register in advance by calling (203) 622-3806 and providing their name and contact information.

The Greenwich Department of Social Services assists clients in strengthening their employment skills by referral to vocational training programs and offering financial assistance with defraying the cost of tuition, transportation and child care. “We are delighted to be able to collaborate with our local community partners to bring our 4th Job Fair to Greenwich. “ Putting job seekers in touch with employers helps to fulfill our mission by assisting clients to become self-sufficient” said Dr. Alan Barry, Department Commissioner.

Family Centers, Jewish Family Service, Pathways, Goodwill and Ability Beyond Disability all provide vocational and employment services to members of the community, and work collaboratively with Greenwich Department of Social Services to assist their clients in securing employment.  All of these agencies are part of the Greenwich Work Force Coalition.  The Work Force Coalition was initiated by GDSS and brings together employment and vocational training agencies to organize and coordinate efforts to improve employment opportunities for residents.

Please note that parking near Town Hall is limited and use of public transportation is encouraged.
