Local deadlines you don't want to miss.

This week's Last Chance comes to us from our local , which is getting a big boost from area Whole Foods stores on Wednesday when 5 percent of all proceeds will go toward the center and their mission "to improve the way America eats and farms."

"It's a HUGE opportunity for us to raise money towards our mission of improving the way America eats and farms,” said Stone Barns Communication Manager Mara Flanagan. “I would love some help spreading the word to our community about the day.”

Leading up to your big shopping spree tomorrow, you could take this day as a good opportunity to clean out the fridge.

Here's a recipe from Stone Barns' website to help:

To start, take those half empty reusable containers of this and that, and make a “leftover frittata.”

Ingredients

Anything you’ve got that you like–all in all, about 3 cups of leftovers!
For example:
Those wilted greens
That near-empty jar of olives or capers
That half-pint of Chinese stir-fry
That piece of cooked bacon leftover from breakfast
The last bit of roasted chicken

2 Tbsp vegetable oil
8 large eggs
¾ cup of milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
salt & pepper

And now you are ready to shop: Our closest is located at 90 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich.
