The Redwood Capital Group has announced that it has been named the winner of the 2014 “Technology, Media, Telecom Deal of the Year” award for its role as investment banking advisor to U.S.-based Globe Wireless on its sale to UK-based Inmarsat by the ACG New York Champion’s Awards.

Earlier this month, Redwood also won 2014 honors as “Leading Advisory Firm of the Year” by Acquisition International Magazine.

The Fourth Annual ACG New York Champion’s Awards were presented at a gala in New York City on June 19, at the Metropolitan Club. Redwood’s CEO and Managing Partner, Gregory Bedrosian of Greenwich, was on hand to accept the award on behalf of the firm. ACG New York, Inc. is an association in New York for middle market dealmaking professionals.

Bedrosian said in a statement, “It is an honor to have Redwood recognized as the winner of these prestigious Deal of the Year and Advisory Firm of the Year awards." The awards were designated for deals valued up to $100 million.

Bedrosian, who served a two-year term on the Greenwich Board of Estimate and Taxation, also said in a statement, “These awards are recognition of the commitment and dedication of the Redwood team to our clients’ strategic goals as well as an acknowledgement of the trust our firm’s valuable clients place in Redwood to advise them on many of their most important and complex  transactions worldwide.”
