Cobb's Mill Hosts "A Celebration of Memoir" June 5

May 30, 2014 (WESTON, Conn.) –  Local essayists will gather at Weston’s Cobb’s Mill Inn for “A Celebration of Memoir” on Thursday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. The writers, all participants at the Westport Writers’ Workshop, will read essays on a range of topics, many of which have been nationally published. All writers come from Fairfield County including three from Weston -- Christine Juneau, Randi Olin and Aline Weiller.  The community at large is invited to attend and admission is free.

The writers will read from work they’ve crafted under the tutelage of Marcelle Soviero, an award-winning author and Editor-in-Chief of Brain, Child Magazine (www.brainchildmag.com), an international literary magazine for parents focused on personal memoir. Ms. Soviero is an instructor at Westport Writer’s Workshop, where she teaches Memoir and Personal Essay as well as creative writing workshops for teenagers and Saturday one-day seminars. Ms. Soviero has also penned An Iridescent Life: Essays on Motherhood and is a private writing coach in Wilton.

“These are some of the best writers I’ve worked with and the Westport Writers’ Workshop is a supportive environment in which to teach and to learn the craft of writing. I’m thrilled to have my class share their work at the Cobb’s Mill Inn,” said Soviero.
