Family Centers Named Among Top Nonprofits by Charity Navigator

For the seventh consecutive year, Charity Navigator, the largest independent evaluator of U.S. charities, awarded Family Centers with its 4-star rating for outstanding fiscal management.

The 4-star designation is Charity Navigator’s highest honor, and indicates that Family Centers outperforms the majority of nonprofits in America with respect to fiscal responsibility and transparency.  Only 11 percent of nonprofits surveyed have earned Charity Navigator’s three- or four-star rating – indicating Family Centers outperforms most other charities in America.

“As the nonprofit sector continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, savvy donors are demanding more accountability, transparency and quantifiable results from the charities they choose to support with their hard-earned dollars,” said Ken Berger, Charity Navigator President & CEO. “This “exceptional” designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Family Centers from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

We help charitable givers make intelligent giving decisions by providing information on over five thousand charities and by evaluating the financial health of each of these charities. We ensure our evaluations are widely used by making them easy to understand and available to the public free of charge. By guiding intelligent giving, we aim to advance a more efficient and responsive philanthropic marketplace, in which givers and the charities they support work in tandem to overcome our nation's most persistent challenges.  Charity Navigator is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization under the Internal Revenue Code and does not accept any contributions from any charities we evaluate.
