Colony Florist - Celebrate The Special Occasions

COLONY FLORIST - Sometimes it is hard to imagine just how meaningful special occasions are. This was one of those events that will never be forgotten.

Well, it doesn’t always happen like this but last week we provided flowers for a christening and what a celebration it was. The planning was fairly simple and straight forward. The only difficulty was getting trees for the home which would be dramatic enough to set the stage for the party.

The house was decorated to the nines and it was spectacular. The guests were welcomed into the house by way of a tree-lined, red carpet walkway. It led them from the front door to the outdoor tent where they would enter a magical environment created to celebrate the christening of the little granddaughter. A lot of planning went into the event and you could tell because every detail had been considered and was perfectly executed.

The flowers on the tables were perfectly designed to complement the table setting. They were white hydrangeas and white roses with few greens in a low silver mercury bowl. The linen was sheer pale pink organza and silver candlesticks were placed on either side. The formal table setting added to the ambiance.

There were several other floral arrangements placed all around, and each of them was all white flowers. They complemented the adjacent areas of the party. Several were in the cocktail area and bar and the others adorned the buffet and food stations.

The tent was beautiful and in spite of the uncooperative weather there was no way to dampen the spirit of the occasion. It was a magnificent celebration for a very special little girl.
