"CITIZEN K"......That's me!

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Citizen K.

Politics? I'm not big on it. I support and vote for candidates who are results oriented and serve the people.

Regarding money? Spending is fine if purposeful and treating the public purse like your own money, which it is! Investing in our town, state and national projects sure! However, lets keep in mind our means, the social goals, how to repay the taxpayer, and how to achieve a reasonable return investment. It's not impossible; just takes some a dash of common sense and courage.

Ok, that being said, let me say I have been serving Greenwich as an un-official ombudsman in Hartford since 2010; have served as a first responder with the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol, been a member of the State Lottery Board and presently serve on the boards of the Fire Police and the Board of Connecticut Innovations, Inc; a quasi-public corporation charged with making investments in businesses that create jobs and bring economic prosperity to Connecticut. I have worked closely with the entire Greenwich Delegation (all Republicans); Governor Malloy and his Democratic administration; and many other legislators and officials in town and in Hartford (of all political parties); all in an effort to try and make a difference and give back to the community.

I have indeed been lucky and blessed in life to have my wife Mary Gail as my mate and supporter in all my endeavors.

I am a patent lawyer, an entrepreneur and an inventor.

That's it. Probably more than you ever wanted to know!

Going forward I will write on current affairs and hope I can help inform the reader of needs and things going on at the local and state level; places where we ALL can make a difference and work for outcomes that improve our lives.

Each and everyone of us can make a difference! See you again soon! Joe Kaliko AKA "Citizen K"
