Curtis to Run Again for RTM Moderator Pro Tempore?

Greenwich RTM member Paul Curtis, who lost to Joan Caldwell by one vote in the controversial January 2010 moderator pro tempore election, said he is "definitely considering" running for the post, which is has been held by Caldwell for the past 16 years.

Greenwich Representative Town Meeting member Paul Curtis is reportedly considering again challenging longtime member Joan Caldwell for the role of moderator pro tempore in the upcoming RTM election to be held Jan. 17.

According to a report in the Greenwich Time, Curtis, who lost to Caldwell by one vote in the controversial January 2010 moderator pro tempore election, said he is “definitely considering” running for the post, which is has been held by Caldwell for the past 16 years.

The moderator pro tempore is “second in command” of the 230-member legislative body, and fills in when the moderator is absent or handling other duties.
