Well, here's some help if you want to be an armchair shopper. Greenwich Patch has  "eBay Saturday." Each week, I'll search the term "Greenwich, CT" on the popular auction site eBay and see what pops up, and post it for Patch readers to see (and perhaps bid on). Maybe you have a Greenwich-related item — a postcard, a milk bottle from the old Round Hill Farms, a menu from the former Manero's steakhouse. If you do and want to sell it, you can click on your submit your photo or videos button above.

This week's choice really brings back the culinary hands of time. It's fair to say legions of Greenwich residents—and those from beyond the borders—remember Manero's Restaurant on Steamboat Road.

Can you remember the feel of the butter rolling down your arm as you bit into the pungently tasty garlic bread that you used to sop up every last bit of dressing in the gorgonzola salad? After the salad and bread, you somehow made room for the fried onions, huge, juicy steak and potato. And if it were your birthday, you'd be serenaded by the singing waiters.

That's all part of Greenwich's culinary history now. Fancy townhomes stand on the land where Nick Manero founded the steakhouse in 1945.

So it was with glee that we found this item—a 1950s-'60s era postcard with founder Nick and the boys. The "buy-it-now" price is $14.79 plus $1.50 for shipping. There are 28 days left.

We're not vouching for the authenticity of the item ... it's buyer beware. At the very least, ebay Saturday will give you a trip down Memory Lane!
