Family Centers Preschool Opens New Playground

On Friday — a month after a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Bruce Park Boundless Playground in Bruce Park — Family Centers held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new playground at its 40 Arch Street preschool.

has a wealth of recently-refurbished playgrounds including the  , , and the Cos Cob School and North Street School playgrounds, to name a few that have been upgraded in recent years.

On Friday — a month after a ribbon cutting ceremony for the in Bruce Park — held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new playground at its 40 Arch Street preschool.

According to a report in the Greenwich Time, the preschool's original playground was more than 20 years old and required renovation to comply with new federal safety guidelines. Family Centers reportedly received a grant of more than $166,000 from the program and additional grants of $76,500 from and $25,000 from the Leon Lowenstein Foundation to help fund the project.
