I-95 in Darien to Be Closed Late Night to Early Morning, Sun-Tues

The roadwork on Interstate 95 will affect Exits 7 through 10 in both directions; closures will occur between 9:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

From the Connecticut Department of Transportation:

The State Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on the I-95 Bridge over Metro North Railroad and local roads in Stamford. Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 North and South between Exit 7 (Greenwich Ave./North State St.) in Stamford and Exit 10 (Noroton Ave./Ledge Rd.) in Darien. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, Sept. 25 to the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is Sunday through Thursday evenings from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (northbound) and 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (southbound). No work will be performed during the Columbus Day Holiday period (Friday-Monday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
