Middle Schoolers “I Love Nuggets - 4” Dance Set for Saturday Night

JR United Way, KeyStone Club to host town-wide dance for middle-schoolers.

The JR , in collaboration with the KeyStone Club, will host a town- wide dance for all middle school age students who either live or attend school in Greenwich on Saturday at the .

The event will be held from 7 to 10 p.m., at the club on Horseneck Lane.


This event is a follow-up to the community wide-and Greenwich Police Department Greenwich Avenue Initiative, that has helped sponsor such events as “Summer Fest-Saturday Night Lights”, and NovemberFest-Can You Jam, which are youth events created for teens and by teens since the summer of 2006.  These nights originated and were organized in response to concern about the number of incidents involving youth, getting into trouble at the bottom of Greenwich Avenue and needing to be connected to local services.

Since the initiative began, the has reported a 50 percen drop in juvenile delinquency on these specific event nights.

This year’s dance theme -  “I Love Nuggets- 4” - will feature free food donated by Garden Catering, and live entertainment. 

Admission is $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Proceeds from this event will provide scholarship assistance for youth and teen activities in town.

The evening has been made possible by many community partners and sponsors including , The Greenwich Police Department, The Lower Fairfield County Regional Action Council, and The Greenwich United Way Youth Services Council and through private donations.
